A fake report from a satire news site saying viral video puncher Sharkeisha was killed in a drive-by shooting is still getting play on social media sites a week later.

The fake article, from Huzlers.com, is a hoax. “Houston County Coroner Paul Harris, in a statement today, said 16-year-old Sharkeisha Thompson was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at a Fifth Ward hospital early Friday at about 3:30 am,” reads the article, which has nearly 70,000 “likes” and shares on Facebook.

But at the bottom of its website, Huzlers says it “is a combination of real shocking news and satire news to keep its visitors in a state of disbelief.” Most of the articles published on the site are fake and outlandish.

And on its Facebook page, Huzlers says it is “for your daily laugh!”

On Facebook and Twitter, Sharkeisha has continously posted updates since the false rumor went viral. “My tummy hurts,” the girl tweeted today.

But on Wednesday, Twitter users were still talking about the Huzlers hoax. “Did sharkeisha really get shoot [sic] or is that just a rumor?” wrote one. Another added, “Is Sharkeisha Dead ?”

A video uploaded to World Star Hip Hop in mid-November shows Sharkeisha punching and kicking another teenage girl in the face. More than 10 million people viewed it.
