More than 40 panels and almost 100 speakers—including innovators and successful entrepreneurs—will grace a Startup Campus on Thursday and Friday, during Brooklyn’s fourth annual Northside Festival.

NEW YORK—More than 40 panels and almost 100 speakers—including innovators and successful entrepreneurs—will grace a Startup Campus on Thursday and Friday, during Brooklyn’s fourth annual Northside Festival.

Along with ESPN and local organizations such as Skillshare, the campus organizers will pair an established business leader with a young innovator for each discussion.

NYU-Poly and New York University are sponsors of the event, which will take place at MetroTech 5 in NYU-Poly’s downtown Brooklyn campus.

Fred Wilson, a venture capitalist who founded Flatiron Capital and co-founded Union Square Ventures, will speak at 4 p.m. Thursday, June 14. Wilson will have a conversation on the Intersection of Academic Institutions and Startup Economies with Frank Rimalovski, managing director of the NYU Innovation Venture Fund.

“If you want to understand how innovation happens and meet the people behind change, it’s a must attend event,” reads a release from the Northside Festival. Scott Stedman, CEO of the festival, said in the release, “A new generation of innovators is emerging out of New York City to change the national business landscape.”

Free shuttle buses will run from the Northside Warehouse, which is a 40,000-square-foot factory at 149 Kent Ave., set up to house Northside Entrepreneurship, to the the Startup Campus at NY-Poly Brooklyn campus on June 14.

The eight-day festival is held in the Williamsburg and Greenpoint neighborhoods in Brooklyn, and also includes music, film, and art events. For more information, visit www.northsidefestival.com
