A Russian TV presenter was found dead, and her husband was arrested in connection with her death, according to reports.
Zhanna Veber, 29, was found at a property in the Krasnodar region in southern Russia near the borders of Ukraine and Georgia, The Independent reported. She was discovered in front of her son, Dmitry, 9.

Veber had been separated from husband Anatoly Leontikov, 36, for two years. According to reports, he turned himself into police after her death.
After the incident, Veber was treated by paramedics, but she died on the way to the hospital.

According to The Mirror, Leontikov and Veber had fought over their child. An unnamed friend said, “The scandal began because of the child.”
“They have been separated for two years,” the person said. “Zhanna wanted to limit his access to the child.”

The person noted that Leontikov had worked as a builder on construction sites near Moscow. The friend said that on Dec. 26, he “broke a window” to gain access to her home, the Mirror reported.
“After she died, he took the boy to his relatives,” he said.
The TV presenter “wanted to move to a big city” while he “worked as a foreman building houses,” the friend said. Their visions, the person noted, did not “coincide.”
Laba TV, the channel where she worked, had a video on its website saying she was a “talented journalist,” The Independent reported. “Such a tragedy for the family, loved ones, friends, and colleagues. It’s hard to believe. We mourn together with you. Eternal memory,” a man called Sergei wrote.
