Latest data from the Audit Bureau of Circulations on Monday showed that U.S. newspapers continue to lose readers.
The six months ended March 31 saw U.S. circulations fall 8.7 percent compared to the same period last year. Most major newspapers saw drops in circulation.
USA Today’s circulation dropped 13.6 percent, and the Washington Post’s declined 13.1 percent. The Wall Street Journal was the only major national newspaper to see a readership jump, as subscriptions and sales increased 0.5 percent—an almost nil gain, but a gain nonetheless.
