New Photos Show 12-Year-Old Barron Trump Soaring to New Heights

President Trump's youngest could now be taller than his father, and may be still growing

They grow up so fast don’t they? Parents can attest that their offspring shoot up like weeds when adolescence hits, and the President’s youngest is no different. The young lad Baron Trump is becoming a towering figure like the others of his family.

The Trump family may already stand tall—President Donald Trump is 6-foot-3 and isn’t even the tallest member of his family—but if a current photo taken outside Air Force One is any indication, the immediate family’s youngest member may end up soaring to even greater heights.

A photograph was snapped of the President with his wife, First Lady Melania Trump, and their son Barron as they waited to board the presidential aircraft earlier this year.

Barron is just 12-years old, nearly a full generation removed from his elder half-siblings. But as is all too apparent in the candid family portrait, he shares in his elder siblings genes; he’s easily the same height as his father already, if not a hair taller.

The Trumps as a family are on the taller side, with middle child Tiffany Trump measuring in as the shortest of the five children at 5-foot-8. Her older half-sister Ivanka is 5-foot-11, the same height as Melania, while Donald Trump Jr. is 6-foot-1 and brother Eric towers at 6-foot-5.

Based on current photos, Barron is likely 6-foot-3 or 6-foot-4 already, and at just 12 he’s likely nowhere near his full adult height. According to USC-Los Angeles pediatric professor Mitchell E. Geffner, MD, the average boy grows around four inches a year between the ages of 11 and 13—and then there’s a few extra inches that may tack on during a teen boy’s later years, to boot. It’s entirely possible that the presidential preteen could hit NBA proportions when all is said and done.

For now, though, the NBA or other lofty aspirations are likely far from Barron’s mind. As the first family heads to the sunny Florida coastal waters for some time away from the frigid northeastern weather, all Barron is thinking about is probably how he’ll get some time to relax during a much-needed winter break.

Here are a few photos from not so long ago showing a rather dramatic transformation of this now-dashing young lad:
