Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, as it’s said, but not everyone has the means to fill their bellies first thing in the morning.

Knowing this rough reality, a group of guys with hearts that yearn to feed those less fortunate have been visiting McDonald’s stores in Memphis, Tennessee, and have been leaving more than merely a trail of kindness.

“While I was out delivering orders this morning I got a chance to witness something amazing,” writes Lonetta Green, in a Nov. 5, 2018, Facebook post.

The group were caught in the act—a benevolent act—at the McDonald’s at 3068 S Perkins Rd.

“These guys bought 100 Sausage and Biscuits and 100 Orange juices and put them in the middle of the restaurant.”

They made it clear that their donation is “free to anybody that wants some.”

Green says she was “blown away by such acts of kindness,” and found out that these good Samaritans from Orange Mound do this at various McDonald’s stores every Sunday morning.

“This is what they need to be showing on the news besides of what’s wrong with Memphis. There are a lot of things that’s right with Memphis too.”

The images Green shared of the neatly stacked juices and food say it all. These good folk don’t want to make a name for themselves; they do this quietly, and it’s wholly for others.

That’s why it’s a sight to behold, for embedded within is compassion.

There are a lot of people out there helping others in one way or another. A kind act need not be big and costly; it can be small, simple, and cost naught—but it can sure mean the world to whoever is on the receiving end.
