This judge is not your “run-of-the-mill” type of judge, and neither are the punishments he dishes out to animal abusers. If you do the crime, you might end up with more than just the time.

Judge Michael Cicconetti from Ohio has become an online sensation because of the rather creative and unusual punishments he hands out. His aim is to teach people a lesson, and when it comes to animal abuse, the judge won’t spare the rod.

“How would you like to be dumped off at a metro park late at night, spend the night listening to the coyotes … listening to the raccoons around you in the dark night, and sit out there in the cold not knowing where you’re going to get your next meal, not knowing when you are going to be rescued?” he asked one offender.

The woman had abandoned 35 kittens in the woods, and the judge decided to give her a taste of her own medicine.

He hit her with a fine, jail time, and ordered her to spend a night alone in the freezing woods.

Another offender wasn’t too happy with her punishment either, as Judge Cicconetti had these words for her after her dog was discovered living in utter filth.

“I want you to go down to the county dump, to the landfill, and I want them to find the stinkiest, smelliest, awful odor place they can find in that dump and I want you to sit there for eight hours tomorrow, to think about what you did to that dog while you smell the odor. If you puke, you puke,” said the judge, reports AnimalChannel.

He did give her an alternative of 90 days in jail—she opted for the local dump.

While some may see his sentences as a bit over the top, the judge is hoping to help offenders see their mistakes and change their behavior.

Judge Michael is an animal lover, and hopes to prevent those abusers from reoffending by putting them in uncomfortable situations.
