CFA Houston VP: Shen Yun Brightens, Delights

January 2, 2014

HOUSTON—”I think my holidays are brighter being here,” said Ms. Natalie Kassenyeva, vice president of CFA Houston (Chartered Financial Analyst) after seeing Shen Yun Performing Arts at the Jones Hall for the Performing Arts in Houston, Jan. 1.

“Very vibrant, very energetic, very well choreographed, very beautiful music,” Ms. Kassenyeva said. “It was exceptionally well done.”

Based in New York, Shen Yun revives 5,000 years of Chinese civilization through music and dance. The divinely inspired culture of China was once nearly lost due to the atheist communist rule, but artists from around the world came together with the mission to revive the culture in 2006.

Ms. Kassenyeva was impressed with the brilliant costuming, use of color, and artistry through which the culture really came through.

“I think through the dance, people can communicate, people can talk to each other, and I think this is wonderful,” Ms. Kassenyeva said.

Shen Yun’s performances include traditional Chinese dance, solo vocalists, and music blending East and West.

“It’s wonderful and I’m delighted to be here,” Ms. Kassenyeva said.
