Boston Weather Forecast: Up to 14 Inches of Snow Projected

The Boston weather forecast calls for up to 14 inches of snow through Friday afternoon.

The Winter Storm Warning for Massachusetts says that winds of 15 to 25 miles per hour, with gusts up to 45 miles per hour, are also expected.

The heaviest snow is expected to happen tonight, into early Friday morning. At the peak rate, two inches may fall per hour.

Overall, eight to 14 inches of snow is expected.

Hazards include the heavy snow and “dangerously low wind chills,” the National Weather Service said.

Visibility could be cut to less than one-quarter of a mile at times.
