Anderson Cooper Talk Show Goes News

CNN news anchor Anderson Cooper has been given an official label by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for his new daytime talk show Anderson, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The hour-long program, which covers a range of topics from serious social issues to fun pop culture trends, has been categorized by the FCC as a bona fide news interview program. This title exempts the show from following a television and radio requirement that all political candidates must be given equal and proportionate time on air.
